MCC Australia re-brands to ATA

February 10, 2017 - MCC Australia re-brands to Airline Training Australia

MCC Australia has re-branded to 'Airline Training Australia (ATA)' to provide solutions for CASA approved Multi-Crew Cooperation courses, Jet Orientation courses, airline interview and simulator assessment preparation and ATPL theory training, with locations in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. 

ATA is a collaboration between Queensland Government owned Aviation Australia, Flight Experience, Flightdeck Consulting and Advanced Flight Theory (AFT).

MCC Australia have been providing Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) courses through Aviation Australia in Brisbane since December 2015, with expansion plans to utilise flight simulators situated around the country run by world-leading flight simulator experience franchise, Flight Experience. ATA takes the collaboration a step further with additional training courses including airline interview preparation coaching, simulator assessment preparation and Jet Orientation Courses (JOC).

"Airline Training Australia is aimed as a 'one-stop-shop' for commercial pilots in Australia to prepare for a position with an airline, through professional training providers offered by the market leaders in each field" says Julian D'Arcy, Head of Flight Operations and Training for the Flight Experience Group. "Whether it be a prerequisite qualification for employment, something to increase the competitiveness of a pilot, or preparing a candidate for the recruitment and interview process, we offer the solution."

Head of Flight Operations and Training for Aviation Australia, Patrick Murray, says that "future plans also involve offering training options for the ATPL Flight Test and a Diploma of Aviation". Aviation Australia are the Part 142 Training Provider as part of the ATA group.

Pilot Interview Coaching organisation, Flightdeck Consulting, has also joined ATA to offer Airline Interview Preparation courses. Flightdeck Consulting began operations in 2006 in Sydney, Australia, founded by former Cathay Pacific pilots, with the aim of assisting the next generation of airline pilots further their careers. "We're delighted to join ATA to provide a national solution for pilots preparing for the intense recruitment process facing them here in Australia" says Sasha Robinson, Flightdeck Consulting Director.
